  • Bury buckets 4 beetles/BB4B is a innovative way of getting all the family involved in conservation. I have buried several buckets and quickly got interesting results in one of them, see here.
  • Since 2005 I have been monitoring the area where I live during the flying season. It has been a very rewarding labour intensive project, I am addicted now.
    Presently, I am researching the interactions between people and stag beetles and for that effect I have created a survey: Stag beetle “larval incidents” in private gardens.
    Also, since 2009 I have been monitoring Dorcus parallelipipedus alongside Lucanus cervus on an artificial sap experiment. And I have now proved that the latter species can live for at least three seasons.
