Starting from the flying male stag beetle, and going clockwise, mating stag beetles, eggs, first instar larva, second instar larva, third instar larva, male pupa, male stag beetle imago, and female stag imago.

It is a pleasure, and an honour, to show in this website Carim's beautiful stag beetle drawings. Carim was barely 16 years old when he offered to draw the life cycle of the stag beetle, coincidentally soon after that he went on to win the second prize in the 2007 PTES stag beetle photo competition, click here to see his entry.
